| 1) Get
off the Mumbai – Pune Expressway at Lonavla (Valvan exit).
2) Join the old Mumbai-Pune Highway (NH4), going towards Pune.
3) Drive to Kamshet and then 5-6km beyond Kamshet to the next railway
station of Kanhe Phata. Just before Kanhe Phata you’ll pass
Toni da dhaba (on left) and then an HP petrol pump (on left). Immediately
after the petrol pump, take a left turn. This road goes to Kanhe
station and Takve village.
4) Drive to and cross the Kanhe Phata railway crossing and continue
on this road for 40 kilometres.
5) You will pass the village of Takve and then finally come to the
village of Khandi. (Takve is the last big village. Mobile connectivity
ends here.)
6) At Khandi take a right turn to Nilshi (4 km away). You will see
a big signboard indicating Camp Lakeside.
7) At Nilshi village turn right again and about 1.5 km away is Camp
Lakeside, the campsite.
From Lonavla, Camp Lakeside,
Nilshi is about 65 km away. However, after Kanhe Phata you will
be travelling on village roads so expect the journey from Kanhe
to Camp Lakeside to take at least 2 hours.
